Capilano River and Hatchery

Students attended an in class presentation by the NorthWest Wildlife Preservation Society and a visit to Capilano River. The students learned more about Salmon and sustainable practices to help salmon. This trip was connected to literature read in class and reflections on two documentaries on the salmon industry in British Columbia that the students had viewed. This field trip was completely sponsored by the Northwest Wildlife organization. The pictures in this gallery capture the power of the field trip and are taken by the students themselves.
